Installed state-of-the art roto stat seed treater and fluid bed dryer for coating soybeans.
Added new temperature-controlled, concrete warehouse (38,400 sq. ft).

Installed state-of-the-art roto stat seed treater and fluid bed dryer for coating forages.
2004
Installed robotic packaging and palletizing equipment (16 bpm).
Added new expansion temperature-controlled warehouse (34,600 sq. ft).
1998
Installed state-of-the-art roto stat seed treater and fluid bed dryer for coating canola.

Started contract work for multi-national companies.

Canola seed treating and packaging system installed.

Building expansion and a new forage line installed.

Glenn joined his parents and became a full-time employee on the farm.

Kletke Seed Farm Ltd. was incorporated.

Installed new seed cleaning equipment and expanded storage capacity.
First contract for cleaning and packaging canary seed.

Herb started seed cleaning cereal grains.
1959
Glenn’s parents, Herb and Helen Kletke started farming on our current site.

Meet our team:

Glenn Kletke
Owner, President & CEO
Glenn is President, Owner and CEO. He is hands-on in every aspect of day-to-day operations and takes great pride in their products and innovations. Glenn has been in the seed coating and cleaning sector since 1981 and is an early adopter of technology that drives development of seed treatment methodologies.
He is passionate about improving his treatments and processes to produce a higher quality product. Glenn is a leader in the industry and is excited about advancements in agriculture that give him the opportunity to immerse and excel in further innovations. Glenn was a finalist for the 2017 Western EY Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Glenn loves flying his Piper PA-12 and spending time outdoors.

Maureen Kletke
Owner, Vice President & CFO
Maureen grew up on a grain and cattle feed lot farm near Teulon. She brings many years of experience in accounting, manufacturing and production scheduling to her position of Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Kletke Seeds.
Maureen oversees all business finances. She has worked alongside her husband Glenn since 2001, and has an in-depth knowledge of the business and business planning.

David Doolan
Operations Manager
Spending time working on a mixed farm David developed a keen interest in agriculture. He graduated with a diploma in Agriculture. He worked in the public sector for Municipal Affairs in both Alberta and Manitoba as the Farm Valuation Coordinator.
He was actively involved in the development of GIS for the Province and in 2016 he received the Manitoba GIS User Group Award for Excellence. David is actively involved in lean and continuous improvement initiatives at Kletke Seeds.
David manages Human Resources, ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System, and the HACCP program as well as the Computerized Maintenance Management System for all plant machinery.
He adores his two Australian Cattle Dogs and operates a voluntary relief hobby farm with his wife on a small acreage north of Winnipeg.

Lesley Bond
Production Coordinator
Lesley has farmed all of her life and she has a degree in Agriculture. Lesley has many years experience in Agriculture, both in the public and private sector. She is an ISTA authorized seed sampler as well as a CFIA authorized sampler.
Lesley is a Production Coordinator, making sure our clients receive the best service possible including scheduling work and meeting our clients needs.
Besides Agriculture Lesley has a keen interest in Aviation and has her private pilots license.

Suzi Chartrand
Production Coordinator
Suzi has many years experience in the trucking industry working mainly in logistics, planning and dispatch. Suzi has extensive experience arranging various freight in both Canada and the United States. Suzi has worked in both Kletke Seeds plant and warehouse.
She is an ISTA authorized seed sampler as well as a CFIA authorized exporter sampler. In her role as Production Coordinator, Suzi is responsible to ensure our clients receive the best service possible including scheduling work and meeting our clients needs.
Suzi enjoys riding her Harley seeing the country.
